The existing landscape was utilized as it is and all the animals are exhibited in large open moated island type enclosures with simulated environment. The entire area of 602 ha. has been clothed with vegetation both by natural and some artificial regeneration.

Arignar Anna Zoological Park is one of the modern and scientifically managed zoos of the country with 257 full time staff apart from petty contract workers. The Zoological Park is the pride of the State and has attained excellence in the Conservation Breeding Programme for endangered species and creating awareness about the conservation of natural resources. The functions of the zoo are carried out by several departments/sections namely Administration, Animal welfare, Commissary (Stores), Transport, Research, Education and Awareness, Veterinary, Horticulture, Security and Sanitation. The zoo has a well-equipped zoo kitchen, zoo hospital and quarantine facilities. A zoo school was opened in the year 2000 for the teachers, students and general public, where regular zoo education and conservation programmes are conducted. The zoo has adequate number of vehicles to transport visitors to the animal enclosures through the network of internal roads

Egmore is one of the busiest neighbourhoods of Chennai (Madras), Tamil Nadu, India. Government Museum (Chennai) founded in 1851 is located in Egmore. Egmore is served by the Chennai Egmore railway station.

Egmore is the Anglicized form of "Ezhumbur" the name of a pre-British era village situated on the northern banks of the River. Despite the fact that Egmore had been a part of the East India Company's possessions since 1720, it was not until the "Golden age of British rule" stretching from 1858 to 1947 that Egmore witnessed some real growth.The Egmore Museum was one of the first notable monuments to be constructed here.The construction of this famous landmark was undertaken immediately after the Sepoy Mutiny of 1857.The Connemara Library was created as an annexure housing the Museum's vast book collection and became operational in 1896. Egmore, in 1796, was the site of the Military Male Orphan Asylum near Madras. This asylum was headed by Andrew Bell, who invented the Madras System for schooling there.

The Egmore railway station is the second most important in the state of Tamil Nadu after the Chennai Central Railway Station.It was constructed in 1908 and functioned as the headquarters of the now-defunct Madras and Southern Mahratta Railway till 1951.

The Guindy National Park, 2.70 sq.KM wide is unique in more ways than one. It has the rarest vegetation type – the tropical dry evergreen vegetation. It is one of the smallest national parks and is situated right in the heart of a metropolitan city - Chennai. But perhaps the best of all is that it has a role in both ex-situ and in-situ conservation.

Guindy National Park is home to 400 black bucks, 2000 spotted deer, 24 jackals, a variety of snakes, geckos, a wide variety of snakes tortoises, geckos and over 100 species of birds, over 60 species of butterflies and spiders each, a wealth of different invertebrates-grasshoppers, ants, termites, carbs, snails, slugs, scorpions, mites, spiders, earthworms, millipedes, etc., These are free-ranging fauna and live with the minimal of interference from human beings. The only major management activity is protection as in other in situ conseration area. The park boasts of over 350 species of plants, and form a natural destination for botanists.

About 22 acres of GNP has been carved out into a zoo for ex-situ conservation. This entails keeping different species in captivity on view to public. Children’s park - the zoo was started with the idea of providing children a natural environment, to educate them about animals and create awareness on conservation. The animals, have bred well in recent years. In children’s park include black buck, sambar, spotted deer, porcupine, hyena, jackal, python, grey pelican, night heron, cormorant, cockatiel, mongoose, bonnet monkey, common langur.

With the aim of spreading awareness, nature camps are conducted for school students taking inside the national park and told of the importance of the bio-diversity found therin. There is also a new interpretation center giving information about the bio diversity found inside the park.

Kishkinta is a theme park located in Chennai, India. Kishkinta Theme Park is located near Vandalur Railway station which has a serene atmosphere, 15 km south of Shivaji residency. It was founded by Navodaya Appachan, the owner of Navodaya Studio. This Park is spread across 120 acres of vast area with a scenic landscape, bushes, fountains, decorations and designs. Along with these, the park has various entertainment places of Wave pools, water ridings, roller coasters, toy trains etc. especially for children who visits for picnics. It is named after the fabled simian kingdom in the epic – Ramayana.

Chennai International Airport (IATA: MAA, ICAO: VOMM) is the primary airport serving the South Indian metropolis of Chennai. The airport is spread across the suburban areas of Meenambakkam, Pallavaram and Tirusulam. In 2014-15, it was the fourth busiest airport in India in terms of passenger traffic after Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore and the third busiest after Delhi, Mumbai in terms of international passengers and cargo handled. In 2015-16, the airport handled 15.3 million passengers at a growth rate of 12% YoY and about 400 aircraft movements per day. The airport serves as the main hub for Jet Airways, Air Costa, Air Carnival and Blue Dart Aviation. It also serves as focus city for GoAir and IndiGo. The airport is expected to reach saturation by 2018–19, necessitating the construction of a second airport.
